The Amy fascinator measures 17 x 23cm.
Colour: Navy, Platinum, Bright Pink. I tried the pink – a vivid fuchsia.
Fit. The fascinator is attached to a narrow headband which sits securely against your head and positions the ribbons and feathers to one side. The picture on the website suggested to me that it sat quite far to one side whereas on me it sat a bit more upright.
The reason to have a thin headband is to allow it to be hidden under your hair. This should be easy if you wear your hair in a chignon or updo. If your wear your hair down, the hairband could be hidden if you have thick or wavy hair. Straight hair might show the hairband however.
The fascinator was very light weight and after a while I forgot I was wearing it – ideal for an all-day event. I’m not sure how it would fare on a windy day as you walked into church but it seemed stable.
Style details. It has a small mass of curled ribbons and feathers to one side. It gives a few inches of extra height without looking very tall. The feathers shiver and quake nicely when you talk and move. It has more of a fun look than a sophisticated look. It will definitely get you noticed and should be a talking point too. I thought the colour was fabulous – very rich pink.
ACCESSORIES
John Lewis & Partners stock a smart clutch bag that would go well with this fascinator. I like the strong lines and straight shiny grab handle to this leather bag. These balance out the curling loops of ribbons and feathers on the fascinator so that the over all look is not too frothy. The Peter Kaiser Wye Clutch comes in several colours but the pink will look great at a wedding.

There’s a detachable shoulder strap (my advice – don’t wear the strap to a wedding) which will make it useful for other slightly more informal day and evening occasions throughout the year.

VERDICT
A great little fascinator at a very small price. Perfect if you’ve never worn a fascinator before. It will make you and everyone else smile.
